A Summer Evening of Art, Jazz & Wine

Part art show, concert and wine festival, this one of a kind event is not to be missed! Watch painters compete in a quick draw competition and enjoy a jazz concert while sampling top Idaho food and wines. Headlined by the Van Paepeghem Quartet, this concert takes place in the picturesque setting of Eagle Island State Park in Eagle Idaho. This fun and entertaining evening ends with a wet paint sale and live auction. Bring your low-back lawn chairs for festival seating. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too.

A portion of art sales and ticket proceeds benefit the Idaho Jazz Education Endowment. A variety of delicious foods from phenomenal local food trucks will be available for purchase. Tickets are per person and includes concert, wine-cider-beer tastings & festival souvenir wine glass! This special evening is the Signature Event of the Eagle Plein Air Festival, a week long outdoor painting competition and fair. Here is a link for the complete Schedule of Events.

As part of Idaho Wine Month, several top wine makers will be sampling and selling wine under the East pavilion at Eagle Island State Park. Sawtooth Winery,  Vine 46 and Vizcaya Winery are guaranteed to delight your palette. Taste their featured varietals and purchase a bottle (or two) of your favorite wines. If it’s cider you prefer, Meriwether Cider will be pouring refreshments as well.

For tasty treats, Kanak Attack Catering‘s popular food truck will be serving up their tropical-inspired dishes. Gluten-free options and water will be available. Additional food trucks will also be present so bring your appetite.

We are thrilled to welcome two very special guests; Dee Sarton from KTVB Channel 7 will be our emcee for the evening and Larry Downs from Downs Auction is our entertaining art auctioneer. As a special treat, the Treasure Valley Children’s Theater will be kicking off the night with a live musical mini-performance. They will be followed by David Le Jazz ensemble. It’s an evening filled with beautiful art, smooth jazz music, delightful theater and… WINE.

What could be a better setting for a quick draw than a jazz concert at Eagle Island State Park in early evening light? This event is expected to be a sell-out! Your ticket includes a souvenir festival wine glass and wine tasting from top Idaho wineries. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Canvas/paper stamping begins @ 6pm in our booth. Painting from reference photos is allowed. Turn in your finished framed painting by 8:00pm with completed price tag. A live Wet Paint Auction will follow with 10% of proceeds to benefit the Idaho Jazz Education Endowment. Artists registered for the Plein Air Festival are eligible for this additional competition for $20. Companion tickets are available for $25
